An Advent and Christmas service held at st-pauls-salem (42 E. Main Street, Salem, VA) on December 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Details

• Music: The St. Paul’s Choir performs seasonal hymns and carols by Andrew Carter, Boris Ord, John Scott, Paul Manz, John Rutter, Peter Warlock, and David Willcocks.
• Outreach: An offering will be received to benefit the Keystone Community Center through the St. Paul’s Outreach Ministry.
• Social: A reception follows in the Parish Hall.

History

Originating in 1918 amidst the grief of World War I (which ended six weeks prior), this service of readings and carols has grown into a globally celebrated tradition during Advent and Christmas.
