Mission Statement
St. Anne’s Episcopal Day School strives to teach children to love God with all their hearts and to love their neighbor as themselves.
Realizing that Christian Education is the responsibility of parents and the church, St. Anne’s hopes to assume a partnership relationship in the education of young children, with an emphasis on our Episcopal tradition.
St. Anne’s recognizes that early Christian Education and ministering in love to one another will reflect God’s love in our children’s lives, in their families, in our community and in our world.
Total Development
Our curriculum at St. Anne’s is based on developmental learning. We believe that each child is a unique individual and learns at his/her own pace. We are dedicated to the total development of each child; intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical. Our goal is that each child be successful and challenged as he/she grows and develops, secure in the knowledge that he/she is loved and accepted. We believe this atmosphere allows our students a positive school experience and excites them about learning. Thus, the foundation is laid for a successful academic career!
At St. Anne’s we are proud to offer a Christian preschool in a warm and loving atmosphere. We believe each child is a gift from God and we feel fortunate that we are able to share in each child’s development
Programs
We offer 2, 3, and 5 day programs for children ages 3 to 5 who are toilet trained. Children must turn 3 years old by September 30th of the school year in which they are enrolling. Our 2 and 3 day classes are developmental preschool programs.
We also offer 3 and 5 day pre-kindergarten classes. All of our classes are from 9:00am to 12:00pm (noon), Labor Day to Memorial Day.
Daily Schedule
In working with young children, flexibility is essential; however, we do have a general guideline of what we do each day.
Each day begins with children going to their individual classes and being greeted by their teacher. After everyone gets to school, we gather all of our students to begin our day with the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance while sharing some time together.
We teach by units and plan our day’s activities to develop our unit topic (i.e.. guest speakers, art projects, stories, circle time and even, when practical, our snacks!). We plan activities to exercise and develop both fine and gross motor skills. We also believe in the invaluable gift or a love for reading and enjoy the wonderful choices in children’s literature! Each day also includes a snack provided by our school.
Our primary objective is for our students to discover that school is a fun place where they are loved and accepted and where they can be successful. If we can excite them about learning, strengthen their self-esteem, and remind them that God loves them, we know we have been successful.
